Introduction

Afghanistan has been involved in prolonged conflicts, and due to security risks, contagious diseases like COVID-19, or oppressive policies from some governments, education for girls has been prohibited. We decided to launch the first online school platform dedicated to Afghan girls

Education is one of humanity’s fundamental needs. It is among the most basic and essential needs for people. However, in recent years, significant restrictions have been imposed on Afghanistan’s education system — especially for girls. Women and girls represent half of society, and no one can ignore their role and presence in the country’s future

Considering the restrictions on girls’ education and its growing importance, we decided to create an online educational website specifically for Afghan girls — where lessons from grade 1 to grade 12 are accessible to all girls across provinces and districts, fully online and free

Design a system where each lesson is accessible with minimal data and low internet speed

Methods

Female teachers from grades 1 to 12 and preschool instructors can contribute by recording their educational videos.
Simply record your lesson in a quiet environment with clear audio and bright visuals.
The Hooshko team edits the videos, adding teacher name, lesson title, and adjusting quality for optimal viewing.
These videos are available online 24/7 and can be downloaded by students

Teacher Invitation

If you are a female teacher, simply record a 3-minute sample teaching video with your mobile phone without showing your face, and send it to us so your teaching style and proficiency can be assessed before entering the contract stage

After reviewing and approving your teaching method, an official collaboration contract will be signed, and a fair teaching fee will be paid. You will receive guidance on standard video recording techniques so you can record a high-quality lesson with your mobile phone and a whiteboard, either with or without showing your face, using proper coverage or a mask. Internet costs for sending lessons will also be reimbursed separately

Project Setup & Support Details

Unfortunately, for many reasons, a standard online educational system for Afghan girls has not yet been established. God willing, we have decided to launch the first online learning platform so that every lesson can be accessed with minimal data usage and low internet speed

Website Name & Future Opportunities

The final name of the educational website will be chosen with input and voting from participating teachers. Additionally, alongside free courses, premium projects and private teaching options will be offered so that teachers can earn income from their advanced courses
